- Spills, leaks and wet floors without warning signs
- Broken or uneven steps, curbs and sidewalks
- Poor lighting in stairwells and parking areas
- Loose mats, cords and clutter in aisles
The Georgia rule
Generally, you must show the owner had actual or constructive knowledge of the hazard, and that you didn’t know about it despite reasonable care for your own safety.
